Delores Ann Williams, 69, of Onaway, died at home Wednesday April 24, 2013.  The daughter of Lyle and Elnita (Archambault) Wilcox, Delores was born October 14, 1943 in Flint.

Surviving are two daughters, Julie Bishop (Danny Stevens) of Tower and Rebeca Robinson of Onaway; three sons, Daniel (Rose) Wilton of Onaway, David (Nicole) Foster and Donald Wilton of Tower; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Ray (Erleane) Wilcox of Davison, Roy (Diane) Wilcox of Rose City and Chuck (Tina) Wilcox of Unicoi, Tennessee; and two sisters, Mary (Herb) Coleman of Ocala, Florida and Theresa (Roger) Rogers of Davison.   Preceding Delores in death were her husband, Roger Williams; a sister, DeMerise Boggs; a son-in-law, Steven Robinson; and her parents. Delores will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tower.  Please send your favorite memory of Delores or a condolence to her family at www.chagnonfh.com.


Betty Ann Skuse

Betty Ann Skuse, 77, of East Jordan died Friday, April 26, 2013 at Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan. She was born August 15, 1935, in Flint, the daughter of Edward N. and Eva I. (Erskine) Chriest. She married Sidney Skuse January 23, 1976 in Onaway.

She is survived by her husband, Sidney Skuse of East Jordan; three children, Craig Welch of East Jordan, Paul Jay of Columbus, Ohio and Bambi Jay (Ernie) Dennis of Bozeman, Montana; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman (Margaret) Chriest of Hale; a brother-in-law, Tom (Peggy) Skuse of Onaway; a sister-in-law, Elnora Sagle of Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Waverly Township Cemetery in Onaway. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.

Merle Cosgrove, 86, of Petoskey passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

Merle is survived by his children, Carla (Steve) Holik of Caro and Rex (Anne) Cosgrove of Moscow, Idaho; grandchildren, Anne Marie (Mike) Osborn of Caro, Tina (Nathan) Miltz of Ossineke, Brad (Shannan) Cosgrove of Hope, Alaska and Russ Cosgrove of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren Ryder, Zachary, Stella, Brooklyn, Will, Kaitlyn, Ashlyn and Amelia; a brother, Jack (Shirley) Cosgrove; and a special friend, Pat Jones of Petoskey.

Rev. Thomas Michael Dominiak

The Rev. Thomas Michael Dominiak, 77, entered eternal life April 18, 2013. He was born July 19, 1935 in Grand Rapids to Joseph E. and Veronica (Urbanowicz) Dominiak. Dominiak was predeceased by his parents; and siblings Richard, Grace Panyrek and Joseph. He is survived by one brother, Kenneth E. (Barbara) Dominiak of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Wednesday, April 24, with a vigil service that evening at St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord. Visitation was also at the Cathedral Thursday until Bishop Bernard Hebda celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial took place Friday at Resurrection Cemetery in Grand Rapids with Bishop Robert Rose presiding.

Betty J. Gorlewski, 84, formerly of Rogers City died Friday (April 26, 2013) in Coopersville.

She was born November 21, 1928 in Rogers City to Cordy and Josephine (Dullack) Adrian. Betty graduated from Rogers City High School June 6, 1948.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Cherri) of Conklin and Kenneth (Sherri) of Cadillac; three grandchildren, Adam (Kristin) Gorlewski and Katherine both of Grand Rapids, and Michael Gorlewski of Cadillac; two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emily; a sister, Janet (Steve) Kamyszek of Rogers City; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in memory of Betty Gorlewski are suggested to St. Ignatius Catholic School.

Eva M. LaPrairie, 96, of Onaway, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at All About You Adult Foster Care Home in Onaway.  The daughter of Bert and Rachel (Burk) Munn, Eva was born in Crystal September 8, 1916.

Surviving Eva are her son, Clarence LaPrairie of Millersburg; grandsons, John R. LaPrairie of Bradenton, Florida and David LaPrairie of Millersburg; great-grandson, David A. LaPrairie of San Diego, California; great-granddaughter, Lynnette Marie LaPrairie of Flint; and sister-in-law, Reva Munn of Carson City. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Alban “Hector” LaPrairie; granddaughter, Tricia; brother, Floyd Munn; and daughter-in-law, Elfriede LaPrairie.

He was born February 16, 1930 in Rogers City to the late Maxwell and Myrtle (Barley) Bellmore.

Bellmore is survived by his wife, Jan; six children, Michael, Nancy (Henry III) Dietlin, Marti (Dave) Farmer, Jeanne (Steve) Eberspacher, Doug and Meredeth; grandchildren, Brandon, Chelsea, Alexander, Henry John IV, Robert, Renee (Zach) Raushi, Jason, Aaron, Justin, Jordan and Michaela; two great-grandchildren, Caden and Colton; sister, Shirley Kelley; and sister-in-law, Judy Montych.

Carol was born July 17, 1934 in Onaway, the daughter of Orin and Esther (Olson) Gray. She grew up in Onaway and graduated from Onaway High School in 1952.

She is survived by her children, Greg Smith of Traverse City and Lori Smith of Gaylord; five grandchildren, David, Brett, Caitlyn, Jordan and Stephen; siblings, Bill (Ann) Gray of Swartz Creek, Ben (Gail) Gray of Hemet, California; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by her siblings, Bob, Dick, Harry and Tom Gray.

Patricia Ann Szymoniak, 87, of Millersburg, died at home Thursday May 9, 2013.  The daughter of James and Wilda (Steele) Wright, Patricia was born January 7, 1926 at the Wright family home in Millersburg. Pat grew up helping on the family farm and graduated from Onaway High School in 1943.

Surviving Pat are her two sons, Tim (Cynthia) Szymoniak of Houston, Texas and Mark (Kim) Szymoniak of Gaylord; six daughters, Shirley (Stuart) Mitchell of Howell, Susan (Peter) Neels of Lowell, Beth (Brian) Carnaghi of Detroit, Bonnie (Tim) Lalley of Caseville, Patty (John) Mogor of Lowell and Janet (Doug) Wolters of Royal Oak; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Jack) Heron of Edmore; a brother, Richard “Dick” Wright of Onaway; and many nieces and nephews.

Etta Mae was born on October 25, 1942 in Almont, the daughter of Harold and Marie (Yax) Northrop.

Etta Mae is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Dave) Nash of Indian River; sons, Rick O’Henley of Shingleton and Daniel (Mary) O’Henley of Afton; grandchildren, Lynette Nash and friend Nate Howell of Cheboygan, Lee (Laura) Nash of Wolverine, Tyler (Brittany) Nash of Gaylord, Megan O’Henley and fiancé Adam Price of Cheboygan, and Zachary O’Henley of Afton; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Richard Nash of Gaylord, Mallory Marie Price of Cheboygan, and Walker Gerald Nash of Gaylord; a brother, Gerald Northrop of Attica; sister-in-laws, Doris Northrop of Wolverine, Sherry Northrop of Wolverine, Delores Northrop of Avoca and Jean (Jerry) Wrage of Rochester; a brother-in-law, James O’Henley of Gaylord; a special aunt, Marie Northrop of Onaway; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is survived by his children, Nathan and Angela Kelly of Rogers City; former wife and loving caregiver, Susan Muckle of Rogers City; grandchildren, Caden and Landen Brege of Rogers City; and sisters, Catherine (Zenon) Grace of Richmond, Carolyn (Jack) Fleury of St. Clair and Jackie (Howard) Viegelahn of Rogers City.
